How to Paint White Poodle Dogs
The fluffy white coat of a poodle is the perfect canvas to display your favorite color and make your pampered pooch the star of even the most mundane outing. Nontoxic dyes, such as food coloring, make it easy to turn your white poodles fur into any shade of the rainbow. Dye your poodles fur to celebrate a special occasion or holiday.
Instructions
- 1
Fill a 1-gallon bucket with warm water. Add 3 drops of your preferred color of food coloring and 1/3 cup of vinegar to the water. Mix with a spoon. Set aside.
2Brush your poodles coat to remove any knots or tangles.
3Cover your hands with a pair of latex gloves and cover your workspace with a plastic drop cloth to avoid staining or water damage.
4Dip the sponge in the dye solution and dab it all over your poodles coat, starting with the head and finishing with the tail. Repeat this process to dye your poodles legs.
5Dye the face last, using small cotton balls dipped in the dye solution. Dye the eye area using cotton swabs dipped in the dye solution.
6Leave the dye solution on the coat for 45 minutes. Rinse your poodles coat with water. Towel dry.
7Blow the coat dry with a hair dryer. Always use the "Low" setting when blow-drying a dogs fur.
