How to REMOVE SKUNK SMELL from my DOG CAT CLOTHES skunked
So your pet or you got sprayed by a SKUNK , Here are a few mixtuire that will help get rid of the smell

TRY NOT TO LET YOU PET GET INTO THE HOUSE AFTER BEING SPRAYED! ! !
They will roll & rub all over everything making this job 100 time worse
mixture 1
GOOD OLD TOMOTO JUICE
With the pet safely secured OUT SIDE THE HOUSE ,run to the store & buy 5 or 6 BIG cans of Tomato Juice.
Get on some old clothes
Get the hose running , Now cover your pet with the tomato juice. Let it sit on them for about 5 minutes & rinse with the hose
Repeat as needed
This seems to work good , not 100% , but it is better than nothing
3Mixture 2
1 quart 3% Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
2 tbsp Dish Detergent.
Double the amounts if you have a large dog
Mix it in a large plastic bucket, because it will foam up big time. You are making an oxygen generator. Wash the dog/cat with this while it is still foaming, it is the oxygen which reacts with the thiols ( the smelly oil in skunk spray) to neutralize the odor. If you wait & it stops foaming it will not work. So mix it & wash you pet right away
Dont try to store it in an airtight container, because it will blow up. The brew also works for clothes, humans , furniture & in carpets.
4You are going to be busy for a while. But you have no choice but to get it cleaned up right away or live with that smell for a month or more. It will go away eventually , but why live with the smell when with a few $$$ & a little work you can get rid of the smell
