Give the dog a standard bath, using your regular pet shampoo.
2Mix together one qt. hydrogen peroxide, a small amount of liquid soap and one cup of baking soda. This is an ideal way to solve dog skin odor if the dog was sprayed by a skunk. It also works for general dog skin odor.
3Rinse the dog with the mixture. Make sure that it hits the spots that are especially smelly. Rinse again with warm water. Towel dry.
4Take the dog to a veterinarian. As the origin of the dog skin odor might be an infection, it is best to have the dog examined. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics or a specific wash for the skin.
