Luckily there are a lot of different videos and DVDs available to help you with all the different aspects of dog training. You can rent these at Blockbuster, Netflix, your local public library or purchase them at any location that has a wide selection of DVDs for sale. Places like Walmart, your local shopping mall, Ebay, or online.
Videos and DVDs are an excellent way to both see and hear exactly how the training should be done.
Step 2. Buy books on Dog Training or Do Research Online
While sometimes not as effective as actually watching how the training is done, there are quite a lot of books on the subject to help you learn how to do the most basic dog training.
There are also tons of free articles online for you to start learning basic dog training, or again you can rent a bunch of books from the library. Both of these methods are free.
You can also purchase books on Ebay or find them in your local bookstore in the Pet section.
Step 3. Search YouTube Videos or Look for free Dog Training Videos on Websites Online
YouTube also has a library full of dog training videos that cover just about every aspect of dog training from house breaking your dog, getting them to stop barking, getting them to sit and more. Simply go to YouTube and type Dog Training into the search box. There are also a couple of good websites that offer free videos such as AmazingDogTrainingman.com and DogBehaviorOnline.com that have many free informative videos.
Step 4. Find out When The Dog Whisperer is on Television
If you have not already heard of the television show the Dog Whisperer, it is an entertaining as well as informative show that features Cesar Millan as the Dog Whisperer. Each episode Mr. Millan visits new homes and trains dogs that have various issues. I have personally learned a lot from this show and many of my friends have said the same.
