Usually dogs can bark for no reason if they are bored or not exercised enough. First make sure that your dog gets enough exercise regularly. Ask the dog to stop barking by a firm NO like you would have asked from your kid to stop doing something annoying. A the same time stay still and keep eye contact with your dog. If the dog persist to bark then go and grab the dog from the leash pulling it softly to your side and at the same time repeat the NO command. Repeat this exercise as many times as necessary till the dog stop barking.
